Compassionate Ministry

Jill Dugal

The Compassionate Ministries is responsible for congregational compassionate care. A team of congregational members are recruited to help with the Compassionate Ministries.

General Responsibilities include intercessional prayer; hospital visitation, and taking flowers, fruit basket, cards, balloons, etc. to members who are hospitalized, in care facilities, or homebound for extended periods of time; coordination of needs service such as taking someone to doctor's office; carrying in food; and other needs as discovered. This ministry is responsible for connecting with church members when urgent information needs to be communicated to the church by telephone and/or e-mail and assists with coordination of church emergency response in event of church family disaster or crisis.

The Compassionate Ministries coordinates prayer requests and insures this information is sent out to the church. Prayer warriors pour out their heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to His Word, for the good of the church, while submitting in faith to the will of God

If you have the gift of Service, Mercy, Exhortation, then being a part of the Compassionate ministry is for you. Whether it is cooking or delivering meals to becoming a prayer warrior when crises happens to a family, this ministry could use your Spiritual Gift.
